NRI: which id form would i need...

Hello im a NRI and i just got hired to work at this big IT company in India, baroda...
they said they need some kind of ID or form that says im allowed to work here... all i have rite now is a PAN card.... would this work? if not what would work? ration card? thanks

If you are US citizen of Indian origin, you can use either PIO card or OCI card as your eligibility to work in India.

PAN card is not authorization to work in India.

my father was born in INDIA but i was born in the US could i apply for a PIO card instead of a OCI card? and show them my dads paper work as i am his son
