Inquiry about OCI

Dear Sir/Madam

I would like to inquiry regarding for OCI (Overseas Citizen of India).

Currently I have a British Citizenship and my parents from India as If I apply for OCI then what are the advantages and disadvantages using this OCI.

If I apply for OCI and after long time, Will there any problem with British citizenship?

Because some people are telling me if you have OCI then you are going to become Indian citizenship and will loose the British citizenship. Is that true?

If you get OCI, you don't lose your British Citizensihp.

You can read all about OCI at /oci-card/

If you get Indian citizenship, you will lose British. But OCI is NOT Indian Citizenship.

I have applied the OCI for my two children before ywo weeks ago and now I wnat to stop the OCI process for them.

I have paid £165 for each application. Could please let me know how much refund do I get if I stop this OCI process?

Also let me have the information about of processure for stopping the process of this OCI application.

1. There is no refund.
2. Write a letter to the Indian consulate indicating that you want to stop the processing.
