ECNR Details Required

Hi,

This is Mayuresh Kondkar & I am traveling to Bangkok for my Honeymoon this December. This will be my first international travel & hence I have some queries with respect to the passport & immigration requirements.

I wanted to know about the ECNR status that is required on the passport. What is it? Please tell me the details of the same.

I have some stamp on the 2nd page of my passport which says ECNR & there is a stamp on that page along with the person’s signature. However, the ECNR written on that page has been stroked off with a pen (I don’t know whether it’s a stroke or an underline, looks more like a stroke). Will I require to take a ECNR stamp before going to Bangkok now (since it’s a leisure trip)

Please let me know what can it be?

I checked with a few guys who say that now the ECNR is not required at all for any leisure travel (Even your website says the same thing)….Only if you are going there for some employment thing then you will have to obtain the same…..In my case, if tomorrow I go for some business trip, will I need the ECNR stamp?
