OCI and 498A

Hi all,

I was fighting 498a from the past 5 yrs. Recently it has been quashed by High court. I have applied for oci by filling criminal proceedings and outcome in part b along with my quash order, but consulte told me that it has to get pre approval from MHA. After that only, they are in position to accept my application and fees. THey said normally it would take 10-20 days.

THe question is Will this affect my OCI application??. any problems?? I am curious and worried. please advice??.

I am sorry that I do not have any information for you but I would like to know what happened to your case. Did they get MHA clearance etc? Did you get your OCI card? Thanks.

1) What process did you follow to get approval from MHA
2) How long #1 took
3) How long in total took to get OCI ?
