I and my husband held indian passport until 2008 now us citizen. our son is born us citizen. my parents and my husbands parents are indian citizens and live in india. what should we (me and my husband) enter for 14 and 15 and what should we enter for our son?

do we have to send original US passport when we apply for myself and my husband?

My son's US passport is still in processing. but we have his birth certificate (us citizen). can we apply for my son using his birth certificate alone without his passport.

1) Yes, Original US passport of the person whose PIO card is to be processed!
2) You have to wait for your Son's PIO application untill you get his US Passport.

Not all consulates require the original US passport -- The NY Consulate specifically states

"When sending by mail, only notarized copies of the documents that are required to be submitted with the application may be enclosed. Please do not send original documents unless it is required by us and we have specifically asked for it after the submission of the application."
