For our adoption process, we are required to get a criminal history clearance from India for one of the family members. He stayed in India for more than 6 weeks. Now we are US Citizens, where do we get this information?
This is what the document says:
"Out-of-Country criminal background checks require an original letter of honorable release from the US military or full-time ecclesiastical service from each country lived in, or call the country's embassy in Washington, DC for instructions on obtaining the criminal history check."
Is this something we can get from the US Consulate in San Francisco?
