Passport Renewal address question

My passport is due for renewal this September. It was issued in Trichy, India. When I acquired the passport, the Indian address in the passport was the location of a rental house where my parents were was staying. They no longer are staying in Trichy anymore. The question I have is, do I continue with the same old Indian address or do I provide a new Indian address? If I provide a new Indian address, will it delay my passport processing? Also, the new Indian address I can provide is again my parents's current address (since I am here in the US).

You can provide your parents' current address in India.

It will not delay the process.
