Hi Folks
Need some help from anyone and welcome suggestions. Here is my situation:
- I am on H1 visa and my wife is on H4 and my visa expires on Feb 12th.
- Our son is born in US and we have his US birth certificate and US passport.
- We have applied for his PIO card 2 weeks back but have not received it yet.
- Our travel date to India is this weekend
- We will be going to NY consulate office tomorrow.
I am not sure why his PIO card is delayed (lot of my friends got the card within 1.5 week) as I have tried to contact the office almost everyday between 2 to 4 PM with no response (no one ever picks up the call).
I wanted to know if for some reason PIO card cannot be obtained tomorrow and there is no emergency service for PIO card, can/would I be able to get visa for my son as emergency service? Any other suggestions are welcome.
