OCI time at NYC consulate

Does anyone know after you submit application for OCI to NYC consulate, how much time they take for completion (of course assuming that the case and docs are clear)?
Are there any known quirks while dealing with NYC consulates? (Meaning them asking for docs which are not listed on websites, any particular problem with that consulate from case handling perspectives, any special delays etc).
