Dear sir,
i am citizen of usa , staying in india for more than 30 years, currently staying with my husband in mumbai, would like to apply for oci. But would like to inform that my 5 year registration had expired in sept 2009 and applied for registration at frro mumbai only in 2010. The frro in mumbai did not give 5 year extension as usual, as they said that since the renewal applied for was late by 3 months, the file will be referred at mha delhi. Frro mumbai have given extension till aug. 2010, but condition to that i cannot travel outside the country till the clearance is rcvd from mha delhi.
My question is that can i do a fresh application for oci to the mha delhi or the frro mumbai in this situation as i need to travel in summer vacation for holiday outside india.
Kindly advise how can you help me on the same.
