OCI should be done in USA or in India?

Guys, I need input based on your experiences please. Where is it easier to apply and get OCI ? in USA or India FRRO?

It can be done either place. It is the same process.

As with PIO, you might consider that there's less dealing with the Indian bureaucracy when doing it from the US. I'm not certain that the processing time would necessarily be reduced doing it in India, but admittedly I don't follow the OCI threads too closely...

Thanks Curftdw as usual. I have decided to apply for OCI in india however I cant find experiences. Though this website and forum are great enough, unfortunately very less has been contributed in terms of experiences in applying from india. I plan to do so myself based on what I get at FRRO mumbai. thx

That is because most people who apply for PIO or OCI would be outside India, due to its nature.
