PIO Card

Hi,

Could you please let me know if a person can move to a different state when he/she has applied for a PIO card and update the Communication address accordingly. Does this delay the process of PIO card.

I have read the application Process for PIO card and I have a doubt in the below mentioned point no 9, which says applicant born in Abroad. My wife is born in India and has accepted the US citizenship recently. Does this mean that she is born abroad and she needs to get her birth certificate notarized from India or in USA.

1. Yes, you can update the address. If your new address falls under the jurisdiction of another Indian consulate, it will delay the process.
2. Abroad means outside India.
