Recently some of my friends have told me that the OCI card needs to be renewed each time the passport is renewed till the age of 20. Apparently it's been a rule for a while but I've been hearing it's suddenly enforced and some airlines have been not allowing to board the flight, etc
Currently I have an OCI card which I got when I was 14. I renewed my passport back in 2012 and have travelled to India every year since then with the latest last December and I never faced any issues. Anyone travel recently? Planning to get the OCI renewed and apply for E-Visa just to be on the safe side (based on what others are telling me). How long will it take to get a new OCI card?
