    India visit after US Citizenship

    US Citizenship was approved (currently waiting on oath) and will receive US passport within same week via expedited route. I'm planning to visit India as soon as I receive US passport.

    But my problem is how can I visit India within 1-2 weeks once I receive US passport - how quickly can I renounce Indian citizenship and obtain OCI card?

    I'm based out of Dallas, TX - so nearest Indian Embassy is in Houston, TX.

    Get an e-Visa if you don't have time to apply for OCI or Entry Visa. Read the OCI experience page messages of immihelp to figure out the duration.

      Hello GC0102, wondering if you found out if eVisa without renunciation is ok and no issues in entry in india. Please share..

        Yes, E-Visa without renunciation is OK as it is all done online.
