OCI not renewed with US passport

My kid is 7 yrs old now and we forgot to renew his OCI along with USpassport renewal and it's been 2 yrs since he got the new US passport. Very soon we have to travel to USA so, can he travel without OCI renewal here in India?

if your son have valid US passport that makes him US citizen . he doesn't need oci to travel to US. He will need oci or visa when he wants to travel back to india
