Hello,

I read the comparison between POI and OCI. However, would appreciate your help with the following:

I was born and brought up in India and came over 15 years ago. Am i right in saying that i can apply for OCI? I was then naturalised and then became British Ctitizen.

Can my daughter apply for OCI or POI on the basis of my previous nationality? She was born in the UK and same goes for her dad.

One last thing: for OCI, do we have to submit the passports with the application forms?

You and your daughter- Eligible for OCI
Your husband - Depends upon whether he is of Indian origin or not. He will have to qualify on his own and not based on his marriage to you.
