Add name of spouse in passport?

Hi,

I want to add the name of my husband to my Indian Passport in the field where it says "Name of Spouse". This field is below the name of father and mother.

Can this be done via Misc. services or does my wife have to apply for a new passport?

Yeah exactly, it is for a marriage based green card F2A cat.

If you are recommending a new passport in my case then I just want to ask if it is possible to have the name of spouse added in the current passport on the under Misc.?
