SC when applying for Entry Visa

My daughter is US born, never held Indian passport.

Do I need to apply for SC, before applying for her Entry-visa ?

Not for her. If she never had Indian passport, there is nothing to surrender.

But if any of her parents ever held an Indian passport and now a US (or other foreign) citizen, their surrender certificates required.

Surrender Certificate is not required if you became US Citizen before Jun 1, 2010. Hope this is the latest and finalised rule.
