The Travisa site only says that there is a delay without specifying how long the delay is. I applied for the visa in the first week of May and haven't heard anything since - except for automated email updates.
I have an overseas trip (not India) coming up at the end of June that I need my US passport for, but there's no way to even reach anyone at Travisa by phone. The consulate says they don't handle visas directly any more (this is San Francisco).
It would help to know what to expect wrt processing times. I've applied for visas at numerous consulates before, things have from time to time taken a few days, but a month seems excessive, especially for someone who till recently was an Indian citizen, and no affiliation of any kind with any country that India has strained diplomatic ties with.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
