Does anyone know if a derivative asylee can get Renunciation Certification with end goal being getting an Indian visa.

I am a derivative asylee, my passport was submitted to consulate for renewel but never returned (in 2008).

Yes, I got Indian Visa. Entry Visa 5 years.

Help for India visa,PIO for asylee

My wife came to US with visitor visa, applied asyllum in 01 and now she is citizen. We went to SFO for her PIO card and she does not have passport. Her greencard has A6 category and Con. in SFO send her back saying that she can not get the PIO card. now since she does not have the old indian passport, how she can visit India. While in SFO we file for surrender of Citizenship of india and they will mail the cert. back to us.
Please Help. Does she have to get the visa or PIO card and what is her options?

Star215 - Can you please elaborate on how you were able to obtain a 5 year Entry Visa as a derivative asylee? Did you not have to show a copy of your greencard and if not, what document did you show instead?

Can you please explain how you got through. Your help would be much appreciated.
