Urgent - No Proof of Address

Hello

I am trying to apply for India Visa for my 20 day old baby..Born in USA. I am an indian resident and so is my husband. I came to deliver in USA at my brothers place. For India Visa they are asking for US proof of address. I do not have any US Proof of address. However the child has an SSN. How do I go about. The travisa guys dont have a reply for this. They asked me to contact consulate general of india. The CGI never pick up the phone. Please help.

Hi,

I am not sure if it is possible, but you can give it a shot. How about including your son's name in your brother's utilities accounts (such as cable accounts) as a co-resident in the utility bill's address and have the utilities sent current month's bill, which can be submitted as a proof of address. I know it sounds convoluted, but just a thought. All the best.
