Regarding Police Verification, I received the same but my passport was sent to me anyway. I think there is some mistake. Although the police did come by at home and verified the documents.

thanks adboi, are you saying police went to your home in India and verified the docs. Which documents did they verify. I can ask my parents to have the documents ready if police comeby as I am here in US.

I am also facing the same issue,today I got an email from passport.admin.Currently my parents are not living in the provided address.Does police verification is compulsory or can I ignore that email ?what happened with you?

I received email today saying my passport has reached CKGS sorting facility where its being processed for delivery. Don't know yet about the police verification.
