Surrender Indian Passport

Good morning:

I am US Citizen since 1992. I did not renew my Indian passport after became US citizen. I travel only Once on my new US passport. DO I have to surrender my old Indian passport and get Surrender certificates? I am planning to go to India in near future.

My kids born here – Do they have to get Surrender Certificates?
