Cancelling CKGS passport renewal application

Hi,

I was trying to understand what are being asked in passport renewal application in CKGS site and I made a mistake by using my real passport number.
In my trial, I entered some random information and made up a money order number and submitted it. Now, when I try to fill in the application for real, it is not accepting my passport number and displays an error message "Application is already in progress for the passport"
I want to know how can I cancel the current application and submit a new one.

Could you please help me if any of you have faced a similar problem.

Difficult to understand your post
Are you saying you entered the correct passport number but random name and details ?
Did you send the package by fedex to CKGS along with your passport ?
If yes, how did not not notice that your name was messed up when reviewing and signing the form ?

OR
Are you saying you entered the correct passport number but random name and details, did not submit the package but are now unable to change your name on the online application syst.em

Thanks for your reply. I got the solution in the experience section of this site.

My intention was not to submit the application but to just navigate through various steps and understand what documents I need when I actually decide to submit. So I entered some random information and on the payment page I made up a money order number proceed to next section. At this point my application is locked (I am unavailable to go to previous sections and change details) and CKGS is waiting for me to get the application no from government passport site.

In this stage, CKGS did not allow me to start a new application with real details (not random information) because the application I filled out earlier is still in progress. I tried 'withdraw passport' option but it didn't work and so I was here looking for help.

Hope this didn't confuse you again.

Now I found the solution and it is allowing me to fill out the application. Solution was to go to refund page and cancel the application.
