OCI application online registration SF

Do we have to fill the OCI application online only?. can we print it and fill it manually?. Looks like San francisco consulate web site for filling OCI application online is having technical problems today, it doesn't open at all.

Hello,

You may fill out the application on paper as well. The instructions are on /oci-card/oci-documents.html which should give you help.

There is absolutely no paper/manual application for OCI. Please do it ONLINE. If there are any technical issues, please wait till its resolved, and do it online. Once you fill it online, take a printout and send to the corresponding consulate/embassy. Few parts of the application needs to be filled manually once you print it out - but the main part applications is mandatorily filled online. Make sure you obtain a online registration number as well. With out the online registration number, the missions will not be able to process your application.
