    after applying for OCI card @SF, what if emergency happens?

    what if emergency happens after applying for OCI card at San Francisco and before receiving the card?. Is there a way to get hold of US passport and VISA to India?.

    They clearly state that they will not be able to give the passport back in the middle of the processing.

      Do the original passports stay with the consulate here in San Francisco or they send them to India?
