I got Entry Visa for my India trip in a month. My wife is already there. Our OCI application (family application) was pending for a really long time.
Now I see online that OCI process is complete and its in Chicago. I never got any email from them though.
My concern is:
1. Do I send my passport and get it stamped or just wait till we get back from India (2 months from now).
2. How long do they keep the OCI at the consulate?
3. If I do send my passport, what about the shipping charges (we paid 21 for that) when we applied. How do they handle the charge for my wife?
Anyone had these situation. I had send an email to the consulate with these questions and never got a response.
