Applying for OCI in lieu of PIO..Some questions

1) What documents do we need to send
2) Place of Birth should be INDIA and not the city?
3) If one of the parents have passed away, what should be the father's profession?

- PIO is no longer available and those cards need to be converted to OCI.
- If you already have a PIO card, applying for OCI is easy and you don't need to submit most documents.
- Document list can be found on the CKGS website

2. Place of birth should be exactly as it is in the US passport. If there is no city mentioned, then do not enter it

3. If father is deceased, then don't need to enter the profession. If he is retired, enter that info
