i became us citizen in year 2000. at that time i cut my name short from ajaykumar to ajay. it seems like it is going to cause a problem when i apply for OCI. I want to start process of name change. i already downloaed application from consulate's website. it states i have to place an ad both in us and india for a name change. Does anyone know how to go about doing that? What is the proper format in which ad should be placed? if any, does newspaper require any kind of documents (legal) in order to place an ad?
