I'm applying OCI for my newborn. Some background: Baby born in US. Parents are Indian citizens on work visa.
I've been reading some forums and folks have mentioned that newborn birth certificate obtained by respective state department here in USA needs to be appostilled. However, all these responses are when CKGS was processing the applications. The new VFS checklist for minor OCI applications does not mentioned the need for birth certificate appostile.
Anyone here who got their OCI by just submitting a copy of birth certificate without appostile?
