OCI Card Return from VFS SFO

Hi All,

Just checked my OCI status and it says below:

Your Application has been reviewed by the Embassy of India/ Consulate General of India & will be dispatched within 24 – 48 business hours provided you had purchased or sent the return label.

Any idea what this means? I paid $15 in cashier's check for the return of my OCI card as the system did not generate a return FEDEX label.

I got this message on 2/3 and still have no clue or tracking info of how/when they will ship to me. Any advice please?

I got the same email on 2-2 and just received my OCI today. Sign up for fedex delivery then you'll be able to see the tracking number. They don't send any tracking number in the email. Did you keep proof of the check because I paid with money order and then they asked me for a return ups label or provide proof for the 3rd label. Luckily I took a pic and sent that.

Jot18 Thank you. Unfortunately, I did not keep any proof/copies of the $15 money order. But, I haven't received an email asking for proof yet. I sure hope they send it back to me without any hiccups again.

Hey All, this has just been frustrating. My OCI card is with VFS for a week now and I get no response to any emails on when they will send it, other than some standard response that they will look into it.

How inept is VFS in SFO....

Any suggestions for escalations? Please confirm.
