I received the New OCI card yesterday. However, The plastic on the photo page is peeling at the bottom of the page, the area where the customers swipes to scan the OCI card. Basically, the card may invite a lot of queries at Indian customs and will be rendered useless in a short time. . Needed to know what is recommended steps to get this corrected in the above scenario. Thanks.

Email your local Consulate/Embassy whichever applicable about it. You can find contact information on their website.
Also inform VFS right away.

at12345 VFS usually very slow in responding to emails. Their customer service phone number now requires giving our credit card details.
For me when filling new VFS application, its website says You are not authorized to perform this request when retrieving the existing application, you ever faced this issue?

I finally have the re-laminated OCI Card which was set right by the CGI NYC. The process therefore is : if anyone receive a new OCI card with any defects immediately log the request to change with both VFS and CGI (Pramit link). CGI NYC reverted with a email response asking me to send the defective Card with self addressed envelope. Send the defective OCI card with self addressed envelope to OCI NYC which was received by CGI on March 12th and I received a re-laminated OCI card (same one as before, with same OCI number) on March 18th. Overall process was simple and straight forward. As long as you are not pressured on time, the process works fairly smoothly.
Personally i registered query on Pramit three separate time and followed up with one phone call , left a voicemail, at the same time around the time I put in 3rd request on Pramit.
Followed up with VFS via email (three time, at a week interval) one phone call with VFS around the same time as 3rd request on pramit. Think a phone call to both CGI and VFS may have made the difference.
Thanks to D_T for initial guidance.
