New OCI application Documents - Marriage Certification Requirement

I and my spouse are submitting new OCI applications. Are we required to upload a copy of marriage certificate even if we are submitting separate applications? Both of us are naturalized citizens.

Yes you have to upload the marriage certificate. It states that if you want your spouse's name to appear in the OCI card then the marriage certificate has to be uploaded.

Hello,

I am Indian born Naturalized US Citizen and my wife is US born citizen.

I want to apply for OCI for myself only, as my wife doesn't need OCI.

Question 1: Do I need to submit marriage certificate If I am applying only for myself?

VFS global website has unclear Information on marriage certificate.

Any help would be appreciated.
