Hi,
I was going through the new OCI application checklist (https://services.vfsglobal.com/one-p...-for-adult.pdf) and I noticed that in the Proof of Renunciation section, they say, "Surrendered Passport along with the copy of the Surrender/Renunciation Certificate must be submitted for Indian passports surrendered after May 2010". I recently obtained a surrender certificate and cancellation stamp on my Indian passport a few weeks back, so do I need to send my original Indian passport to VFS for OCI application or just a copy of Indian passport showing cancellation stamp alongwith a copy of surrender certificate? I'm a little confused because in the very next section about Proof of Indian Origin, they say not to send original Indian passports, only copies.
Thanks in advance for your help!
