What exactly is OCI? A card or a stamp on passport?

My application was returned because I made an error and they said don't send any original documents, just the draft on which they explained what was wrong with the application. If I don't have to send originals, how are they going to stamp the OCI on the passport? Or is it a card? I am so confused.

Oci is not a stamp. It's a document that looks like Passport but says oci on it instead.
