PIO-SFO - Urgent help!

Hello friends,

I need urgent help in regards to PIO Card application, all possible answers will be appreciated.

I have applied for PIO Card in San Francisco CGI office by mail, it was reached on 8/9/10. I have applied with all my originals. My India travel is coming up on 8/24/10, so I have very short time. I have sent out email & phone messages.

I was reading that some people got it in 5 days.

I am planning to make a trip to SFO office on 8/20/10, when I go there what options will I have 1. Get PIO card 2. Entry visa 3. any other options?

Please suggest me all possible options, as time is very short.

Not much to be done but wait. As noted on the consulate website, there's no emergency service for PIO, so visiting the consulate will probably do no good.

At this point an Entry visa would probably take more time than the PIO card. You haven't even allowed the 15 days stated processing time noted on the website -- that some have got it in five days was probably not worth booking travel plans. You should start looking into changing your departure date -- it'll cost you, but you may have no choice.
