  • Travel to India on existing Tourist Visa

    Hi,

I am highly confused with new Indian Immigration laws. I am naturalized US Citizen. Last year I got 10 years validity tourist visa for India. This visa is valid for multiple entry. I know the rule about 2 months wait time between visits.

My question is that with the new Entry Visa rule, do I need to get an Entry Visa for India or I can still travel to India on my existing (and valid) Tourist Visa.

    Another Question:
My Indian passport has a stamp that says "Passport cancelled as holder acquired US Citizenship - CGI Houston", so do I still need to get a surrender certificate?

After cancelling my passport and getting Tourist visa last year, I've travelled once to India and had no troubles.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Keyur
