USA new born PIO application without indian passport copy - Washington DC

Hi,

I'm applying for PIO card for my new born daughter. If
parents are claimed as basis for grant of PIO card they
asking copies of indian passports.

We are US citizens and have PIO cards. We do not have
indian passports, in this case what other alternative
documents we can send as a proof show the relationship
of parents of indian origin? If anyone has done this
could you please share your experience.

We are planning to apply by mail.

On what basis did you get a PIO card ? Are you a natural born citizen of US ? Did you get a PIO based on ancestry ?
