Forgot to include marriage certificate when sending renunciation application

Does VFS have a feature wherein soft copies of additional documents can be uploaded as a joiner to application that is already “in process”?

I don't think the Renunciation checklist asked for Marriage Certificate. Check it again.
Anyway, if they need any additional documents, they will ask. If it is already "in-process", then just wait for it to be completed.
