About EXTENSION OF A SHORT VALIDITY PASSPORT

Hi,

I have a short validity passport which expires in Feb 2011. I am a student and currently on OPT which also expires in Feb 2011. I have to apply for extension of a short validity passport ASAP. The consulate needs two residence proofs. I got my license a week ago which I can use. Can I use a letter from my Bank as my second proof of residence? My cell phone is on my friend's account. I have no other proof of residence available.

One more thing, will there be an enquiry at my residence like we have in India?

Proof of stay in the USA (from the date indicated in the application form by the applicant), such as Telephone Bill, house lease deed/bank certificate/insurance policy, job letter or any other evidence;

Copy of proof of residence in the United States is required. Utility bill/bank statement/copy of lease agreement/driver's license are acceptable as proof of residence.
