Passport name dot(.) Issue for Indian Visa

I want to know about the dot(.) Issue in the passport name. In my e-passport of Bangladesh, my name is "S.M. SHAHRIAR AHMED" [with dot(.)] according to my all educational credentials and National ID of Bangladesh. Will I face any problem for getting Indian Visa for the dot(.) In my name.

no indian visas are being issued currently, so perhaps the question is moot right now. However in different circumstances, dont think this would be an issue.
