I would be grateful if you would clarify a possible contentious point amongst NRIs. If a British Citizen concurrently holds an OCI card would that prejudice his/her rights or protection from the British Government in the event of an emergency whilst the subject was in India.
Specific queries:
a)should an evacuation be necessary from India would the British Government extend full facility to the OCI card holder?
b)In the event of a dispute or conflict between Britain and India, to whom does the OCI cardholder hold allegiance ?
