Hello,
I am about to send out my application to renounce my Indian citizenship to VFS San Francisco. I made, what in hindsight, is the stupid mistake of not going with the VFS shipping service and ended up printing my own labels with USPS.
As with everything else, they have deliberately made the information on non-VFS sponsored pre-paid labels extremely ambiguous. The language suggests that although USPS isn't excluded, but they are deliberately creating a situation where you are sort of forced to accept their service (so they can clearly profit from their contract with Fedex).
Has anyone successfully sent and received back packages from VFS via USPS recently? I am not sure how to reverse the situation. I can easily cancel my USPS labels, but how can I go about getting the VFS Fedex labels?
Thanks!
Avi

- Since our agreement of services is with FedEx only, we cannot guarantee collection of your shipment by any other service provider from our officeYou are responsible for tracking your package and schedule a pick up from the VFS Consular application Centre once ready.
