I submitted OCI for my daughter and I got a message from VFS saying
Your Name and Father’s name in the gov’t form is not matching how it’s exactly printed in your passport/proof of Indian Origin under family details. You are required to issue a signed letter and upload it at https://vfs.mioot.com/forms/In/USA/IHCUSA-DocsNew/ Subject: CONSENT TO RESTORE DETAILS AS IN INDIAN PASSPORT DETAILS – Application ID #_________ To Consular Officer, I, ________________ is giving my consent to change/edit the details of my Name and Father’s name in application form as in my existing Indian Passport.My Application Reference Number is _________________
1. Has anyone experienced this ? Is this because in the government form my daughters name is "First name" "Last Name" and missing middle name ?
2. If i submit the letter online - do i have to send the letter over physical mail also ? Is that mandatory ?
