Any way I can extend my USA STAY beyond VISA Expiry due to Newborn documentation

Hi All,

I have newborn whom Birth certificate yet to receive.Once received I will apply for USA passport. However My VISA expiring in 2.5 month and I will need move India. Is there any way I can extend my USA stay legally just to get all documentation done ( USA Passport/India VISA) for my newly born kid. I am on H1B and maxing out in 2.5 month.

Pls advice.
