Hi,
I'm currently preparing the application and documents for my indian passport renewal. I've filled my friends place as my primary address in my application etc since I live there for time being. I don't have any address proof for myself tied to my his apartment. I don't want to get added to lease. I'm authorized user for his utility bill(electricity) but my name doesn't show up in utility bills. In the document checklist one of the bullet point says
"- In case of applicant residing with parents/children/ relatives, a notarized undertaking from them with one of the notarized copies of address proof as indicated above"
Can someone guide me on how this can be done? Can my friend come in person with his address proof and say I live in his apartment for time being and get a notary on my behalf? Has someone done it and guide me on this please? Appreciate your timely response.
