  • Minor check list Birth Certificate

    Hello!
I tried to start this process few years ago and got overwhelmed with the required paperwork and abandoned it. I have more time now, so here we go..a few questions
    I went to https://www.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/...vices/#new-oci
From there the checklist for applying for OCI for minors (US born), https://www.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/...r-oct-2021.pdf

    > It says "BIRTH CERTIFICATE It must reflect (i) Names of parents; (ii) Date of Birth; and (iii) Nationality. Note: Birth certificate issues by Hospitals are not accepted." It's been a while I had kids and I don't recall getting a birth certificate from anyone other than the hospital. Do I need to procure the birth certificate from someplace else to satisfy this?
    > My ex-husband, the kids' father, did not apply for renunciation after he got naturalized. Is his Indian passport copy still acceptable?
    > Is marriage certificate still needed if we are divorced? I can't recall if we have one as we got married in India (and been a while since we became naturalized citizens:2006)

Thank you..This feels like I need to start a project management trello board to get through \
