I recently acquired UK citizenship (previously an Indian citizen). Since India is currently not allowing e-visa for UK citizens, I decided to apply for a regular tourist visa as I still haven't applied for an OCI card. I saw an advisory comment on the Indian visa application portal as follows " For persons of Indian origin (all categories), OCI card is mandatory". Does this mean I will need an OCI card to travel to India since I am an Indian by origin and that a regular tourist visa wont be accepted for travel in my case?
