OCI relinking to new passport for minor

I just renewed the passport for my son (turning 5). He had his OCI issued based on the old passport. As per the latest guidelines, now we do not need to renew his OCI but just need to re-link it to the new passport by submitting application online.
We did that but there is been no response to it since 7 weeks now. Any suggestions on what should we be doing? Thanks a lot.

Use the confirmation you got when you submitted and his new passport number.

I am in the same boat and my status is:
Your application is yet to be acknowledged by competent authorities.

I suppose they are looking for someone competent in the DC embassy. Did my parents' update and they were acknowledged (not yet approved) in a couple days. For my wife's, son's and my changes, we uploaded everything on Dec 05. No change in the status since.

As dvpatel said, check the status at https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury
If it shows up then it is in process, then don't worry it will be completed - they are very slow. Meanwhile you are good to travel, don't have to wait for the completion.

Here is the time line when I updated the passport details for my kid:

07-Sep: Submitted online and uploaded copy of new passport. "Your application is yet to be acknowledged by competent authorities."
21-Sep: Acknowledged. "Your application has been acknowledged by competent authorities. It is under consideration."
21-Oct: Completed. "Your details have been updated in OCI records."

Thanks a lot for the replies. My Application was acknowledge on Nov 20. Still waiting for final approval.

Sadly, I sent three applications on Dec-05. No acknowledgement yet. One of them is for my minor son. The other two are wife and I.

Uploaded my parents' applications on Nov-29 and they were acknowledged on Dec-01. Go figure. Not yet approved but still.
