Procedurefor getting OCI card for PIO card holder

My grand son was born in US to Indian Parents in the year 2003. My son obtained PIO card for him on 16.7.2004 which is valid till 15.07.2019.We want to obtain OCI card for him at an earliest possible. You are requested to please advise us on the following..

1. Can we get dual citizenship for him, if so, at what age?

2. Can we get OCI card for my grand son , if so, at what age?

You are requested to please advise us on this matter. My son is interested
to keep his attachment with US for his better future.

1. Never. India does not allow dual citizenship.
2. If both parents are citizen of India, their foreign-born child is not eligible for OCI. Only PIO.
3. You don't need particularly OCI or PIO for that. He can go to the U.S. at any time he wants.

Thanking you for replying my query. But now I have another query.

1. There is a big question now whether we should continue US citizenship, for child born in US to Indian Parents, along with his PIO card.

2.Should we obtain Indian Citizenship after 7yrs of stay in India.Possibly in that case PIO card will have to be returned.

3. If we take 2nd option in that case we will have to obtain Indian passport and visa whenever need arises to go US.

Kindly advise on this matter .
